Sukhumvit Soi 11, Sukhumvit Rd., Bangkok, Thailand.The Bed Supperclub is a replica of the famous original in Amsterdam. It is housed in a tube and is complete with a sterile white atmosphere, impractical "modern" decor with pretentious bleeding from between the sheets. Essentially, it is a restaurant and dance club where you eat lounged on a bed with friends a la the Bed Bar in the HBO TV show Sex and the City. The whole place is housed in what amounts to a giant tube-like an airplane fuselage with two floors of bed-based seating. It is popular with the young hi-so Thai crowd, who try to show off their cars at the valet parking entrance. |

Nana Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 4, Sukhumvit Rd., Bangkok, Thailand.Nana Liquid was opened in March 2010. It was formerly called Nana Disco/Angels Disco, which was closed July 2009. It’s located right in the Nana Hotel and is a disco that attracts a freelancer crowd and stays open late. The parking lot of Nana Hotel is a good spot for loitering after the club closes. |

With bar staff this gorgeous, an inane grin will appear on your face like a hopeless teenager when they take your order. But don't flatter yourself - they're professionals dedicated to the art of the cocktail. Nevermind, the pillars and seats are covered in the softest fake leather, which is far kinder on the head after drinking to unrequited love once too often. |

Ambassador Hotel [Basement Floor], Sukhumvit Soi 11, Bangkok 10120, Thailand.The Climax Club is somewhat tough to find, it is hidden in the parking garage of the Ambassador Hotel. On Soi 11 off of Sukhumvit. They charge 200 Baht entrance fee which includes a free drink. The beers cost 180 baht which seems reasonable. There is no shortage of bar staff trying to sell you more drinks. This is really the only drawback to this club. There are way too many bar staff, they walk around with flashlights every 3 minutes checking your drink level. If you are low, they will ask you if you want another. I ordered a few drinks and while the bar staff was getting them, other staff came up to me and asked if I wanted more. So they are a little annoying. That said however, you don't have to worry about trying to flag someone down to get a drink. Early in the night, they have live singers, around 2-3AM they leave and it gets more into dance/techno music. |

It has a terrific light and sound system and occasional International guest DJs. It is very popular with the foreign expatriates. Narcissus Club opens daily from 9.00 pm to 2.00 am. The admission is 500 baht (price includes 3 drinks) on weekends and 300 baht (includes 2 drinks) on weekdays. |

Sukhumvit Soi 12 (between Times Square & Soi 12), Bangkok, Thailand.The venue shares many similarities with its sister club Insomnia Pattaya. It boasts an incredible visual set up and amazing lighting, with giant projetcion screens and an earth thumping sound system. It is certainly not the place to go if you want to sit back with a beer and have a casual chat. Any conversation in the club requires your mouth firmly pressed up against the listeners ear and then you have to shout on top of that ! In any case this is normal for a club of this genre. If lazy beer and mellow beats is more to your style, you're better of going somewhere else. For the seasoned party goer, you'll have an amazing experience. |

The music is in the main hip-hop & techno-pop, it's played load, the place itself is quite dark, sweaty & warm. The 300 baht entrance fee gets you one free drink. It attracts all nationalities of younger foreigners, no doubt on the lookout for a freelance worker, of which there are many. |

Basement of President Tower Arcade, 973 Phloen Chit Road, Bangkok, Thailand.Mixx Disco is probably a better choice for this basement location in the Intercontinental Hotel, which due to the poor exhaust system installed at the location was ill-suited for what once was a true Brazilian churrascaria with flaming beef that caused a great deal of smoke problems. Now, the system most likely updated, is quite fine for the throbbing crowd of dancers who do their thing until the late hours or should I say, the early hours of the morning. |
